Hitachi Energy in Kraków seeks a Principal Embedded C/C++ Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software for embedded systems with constrained resources. You’ll work closely with hardware teams, implement firmware for microcontrollers and RTOS platforms, and ensure robust, high‑quality code.

The role demands deep hardware understanding, real‑time constraints, and strong debugging skills across hardware and software layers.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of professional embedded software development experience.
Strong C/C++ proficiency for embedded systems.
Experience with OpenWRT.
Knowledge of build systems and toolchains.
Scripting in Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain embedded software using modern C/C++.
Develop firmware for microcontrollers, embedded Linux systems, or RTOS platforms.
Debug using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD tools, and software debuggers.
Write robust, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and standards.
Integrate with RTOS or bare-metal environments.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand schematics and interfaces.
