Job summary

Arbex, based in Krakow, Poland, seeks a Senior Plant Accounting Specialist to support plant accounting and cost of sales across the EMEA region. You will partner with finance, business, and IT teams to ensure accurate reporting and strong controls while driving process improvements.

The role emphasizes SAP FI/CO expertise, end-to-end plant accounting, IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, and collaboration with senior stakeholders in a hybrid Krakow office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Experience in Accounting or Finance, ideally in manufacturing or plant accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and standard costing.
• Advanced SAP FI and/or CO/PA knowledge with end-to-end plant accounting.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Fluent written and spoken English; able to engage with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Plant Finance teams to support an efficient and accurate plant accounting close process across EMEA facilities.
• Provide expertise in SAP cost accounting processes and resolve complex accounting and system queries.
• Guide IT on SAP configuration aligned with business and accounting requirements.
• Manage product costing activities, including month-end close, quarterly current cost calculations, annual budgeting, and inventory valuation.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, overhead, depreciation, and production expenses.
• Prepare and analyze plant performance reports, providing insight into key financial drivers.
• Support internal and external audits and help maintain strong financial controls and compliance standards.
• Contribute to process improvements and support SAP S/4HANA implementation activities.

About You

In this Senior Plant Accounting Specilaist role, you'll play a key part in supporting Plant and Cost of Sales / Cost of Manufacturing accounting across the EMEA business. As a subject matter expert in plant accounting and SAP costing processes, you'll partner with finance, business, and technology teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Experience in Accounting or Finance, ideally within a manufacturing or plant accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and standard costing methodologies
• Advanced SAP FI and/or CO/PA knowledge with strong understanding of end-to-end plant accounting processes
• Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Confidence to engage with and influence senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as CMA, CA, or equivalent
• Experience working within a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment
• Experience supporting multiple EMEA entities
• Knowledge of SOX controls and statutory reporting requirements
• SAP S/4HANA experience
