Job summary

Arbex is seeking a senior tax/finance professional to lead and harmonize tax processes across the EMEA region. You will oversee complex projects, collaborate with global teams, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance in a multinational environment.

The role requires a Master’s degree in economics or accounting, 7–10 years in tax/ accounting, strong Excel and SAP R3 experience, and excellent stakeholder communication in English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics or accounting.
• 7–10 years in Tax, Accounting and Reporting in a multinational company, incl. 2–3 years in independent/management role.
• Advanced accounting standards knowledge in multinational context.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP R3.
• Excellent communication, influencing and coordination with regional/global stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Independent and decisive work style in ambiguity.
• Fluent English with advanced finance vocabulary; second Western European language desirable.
• Ability to work across functions, geographies and cultures.
• Understanding of tax accounting standards and reporting.
• Strong orientation to deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of accounting systems used in the region.

Responsibilities

• Support complex tax projects in the EMEA region.
• Collaborate with Tax Team, outsourced partner, and other GBS and business teams.
• Ensure tax processes are documented and procedures reviewed.
• Develop Standard Work documentation for new or changed tax processes.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in scope-extension projects.
• Support process development and CI initiatives.
• Support Internal and External Audit processes, if needed.
• Build and set process standards to support regional strategy.
• Train people in VAT and tax knowledge.
• Provide guidance to regional stakeholders.
• Maintain SAP tax-related settings.
• Lead the implementation of e-invoicing requirements and solutions.

Job responsibilities include:

• Support complex tax projects in EMEA region
• Collaborate and engage with Tax Team members, outsourced business partner, other GBS and business teams
• Ensuring TAX processes are properly documented and all operating procedures are regularly reviewed;
• Developing Standard Work documentation for any new or changed TAX processes for the region;
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert in all potential scope extension projects, providing expertise from process standpoint;
• Supporting process development and CI initiatives;
• Supporting Internal and External Audit processes, if needed.
• Building and setting process standards to support the organisation's business strategies for the entire region
• Training people in VAT and Tax knowledge
• Provide guidance to different stakeholders in the region
• Maintaining SAP tax-related settings
• Leading the implementation of e-invoicing requirements and solutions

Requirements:

• The job holder will have a master’s degree in economics or accounting
• 7 to 10 years of experience in Tax, Accounting and Reporting in a multinational company, including 2 - 3 years of experience in an independent position or in a management position in a consulting company
• Knowledge of accounting standards gained in a multinational company
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience and knowledge of ERP system, preferably SAP R3
• Excellent communication, influencing and coordination skills, as you will be cooperating with regional and global senior stakeholders
• Ability to think in critical way and solve problems
• Decisive with an ability to work independently and effectively amid ambiguity
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken including advanced finance, accounting and tax vocabulary, 2nd Western European language will be an asset
• Ability to work across multiple functions, geographies, and diverse cultures
• Understanding of tax accounting standards and reporting
• Orientation to work with strict deadlines is essential
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of the various accounting systems required in the region
