Job summary
Yukon Group is seeking an experienced Optical Design Engineer in Poland to own complex optical systems from concept to production. You will make critical design decisions, validate performance through simulations and testing, and translate advanced optics concepts into manufacturable products.
You will design and optimize imaging, illumination, and beam shaping, develop aspheric components, and perform rigorous tolerancing and analysis.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years hands-on Zemax OpticStudio experience.
- Strong knowledge of geometric and wave optics.
- Experience in optical system design from concept to implementation.
- Practical experience with multi-element systems, optimisation, tolerancing and image quality analysis.
- Experience in optical coatings design and optimisation.
- Ability to perform optical analysis (MTF, PSF, spot diagrams, irradiance, luminance).
Responsibilities
- Design and optimise optical systems (imaging, illumination, beam shaping).
- Develop and analyse aspheric components, considering manufacturability.
- Perform optical simulations and analysis to ensure system performance.
- Conduct tolerancing and sensitivity analysis.
- Collaborate on testing of electro-optical systems and components.
- Work with various light sources (LEDs, lasers, lamps).
- Prepare technical drawings according to international standards.
- Maintain and update optical components database.
