Job summary

VirtusLab is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to maintain, scale and optimise on‑premise infrastructure for a major global bank. You will focus on reliability of developer tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket and BuildBarn, while supporting Linux as the primary platform and Windows/macOS as secondary.

Strong scripting and networking background are essential. The role requires 5+ years in system administration or infra engineering, with English communication at B2/C1 level.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong background in Linux administration and networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience managing on-premise developer tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, BuildBarn).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash and Python; PowerShell a plus).
• Strong debugging and analytical skills for large-scale performance problems.
• Ability to support multi‑platform environments (Linux primary; Windows and macOS secondary).
• Experience in large enterprise or financial environments is highly preferred.
• English proficiency at least B2/C1 for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, scale and optimise core on‑premise infrastructure for a major global bank.
• Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex performance bottlenecks across the environment.
• Manage and optimise Jenkins, Bitbucket and BuildBarn for developers (10,000+ users).
• Provide multi‑platform support (Linux, Windows, macOS) and automation of admin tasks.
