Job summary

Bytamic is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to join a long-term infrastructure project. You will design, build, and maintain Linux environments across bare-metal servers and virtual machines, with a strong focus on automation, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring robust Linux hardening in enterprise settings. Remote-friendly position with options for on-site work in Poland and across Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Linux experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with RHEL/Linux administration.
• Advanced Ansible skills.
• Strong Bash and good Python skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal servers and virtualization.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD and Jenkins.
• Experience with Linux security and hardening.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production environments.
• Strong engineering mindset and ability to work independently.
• Experience in enterprise or mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain Linux infrastructure.
• Work with RHEL, bare-metal servers, and virtual machines.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Ansible, Bash, and Python.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and configuration management solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
• Implement monitoring, security, and Linux hardening.
• Troubleshoot complex production and infrastructure issues.
• Improve infrastructure reliability, security, and automation.
• Make technical decisions and work independently in complex enterprise environments.
