Job summary

HOK Consulting - Technical Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced Network Security SME to join a global cybersecurity engineering team. You will support the design, review, and continuous improvement of enterprise network security controls within a highly regulated banking environment.

Based in Poland with a hybrid work model (6 days per month travel to Warsaw or Krakow), you will lead security initiatives, review firewall designs, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

Strong experience with network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxy solutions.
Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, and network protocol analysis.
Experience reviewing firewall policies, security designs, and network architecture.
Knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and security documentation.
Cloud security experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is desirable.
Experience in banking or other highly regulated environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and support strategic network security initiatives and governance.
Review security designs, firewall rules, and documentation; identify risks.
Provide expert guidance on network security, cryptography, and secure architectures.
Conduct security risk assessments with business and tech teams.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and policies.
Mentor junior engineers and drive security team improvements.
