Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Kraków, Poland is seeking a Senior/Lead QA Automation Engineer in Java to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts ensuring software quality, reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
• Proficiency in BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
• Knowledge of Java SE (minimum version 8).
• Experience with Maven, JUnit, and AssertJ.
• Experience with Selenium and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with JaCoCo for code coverage.
• Capable to work on older code bases and apply modern best practices.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and maintain automated test code and test cases to validate software functionality and performance.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with DevOps and development teams to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tracking tools, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Conduct performance and load testing to ensure applications meet performance benchmarks and can handle expected traffic and usage.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC to build quality into the product from the ground up.
• Provide QA insights during requirements/design reviews to identify issues early and ensure testability.
• Define and track quality metrics, and generate reports on test progress, issues, and risks.

We are seeking a Senior/Lead QA Automation Engineer in Java to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications.This role involves close collaboration with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to define test strategies, implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines, and identify defects early in the development lifecycle.
