Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc in Poland seeks an experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer to design and build a cutting-edge valuation and risk platform. The role covers front-end and back-end work, microservices, and event-driven architectures in a fast-paced environment.

You will help lead technical direction, collaborate across teams, and mentor engineers. The position requires 3 days in the office in a flex-hybrid mode, with the option to work remotely within Poland and occasional international

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of overall software development experience preferred; strong candidates with 7–8 years of relevant hands-on experience will be considered.
• At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience.
• Proficiency in Java with full-stack capabilities across front-end and back-end.
• Experience building distributed applications (microservices, event-driven).
• Cloud infrastructure understanding and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.
• Nice to have Azure experience, Python, ReactJS, and automation testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications across front-end and back-end layers.
• Build and enhance distributed applications such as microservices and event-driven systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction of the platform.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
