Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a fast-growing technology area focused on launching new digital products. The role involves testing complex backend systems, validating integrations, and building a robust automation framework to support frequent releases.

You will design and maintain automated test suites, write test scenarios, and perform REST API testing across microservices in a hybrid Poznań/Warszawa environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
• Commercial backend test automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java.
• Experience with REST API testing.
• Practical knowledge of Postman and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites.
• Create test scenarios and test cases from requirements.
• Perform manual, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

You'll have a direct impact on the quality of solutions used by a large-scale customer base while helping shape QA standards and automation practices across the team.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites
• Creatingtest scenarios and test cases based on business and technical requirements
• Performingmanual, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
• TestingREST APIs and microservices-based applications
• Analyzing test results and reporting defects
• Collaborating closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA Engineers
• Participating insprint planning, refinements, and release activities
• Supporting and improvingCI/CD pipelines used in testing processes
• Ensuring high software quality standards throughout theSDLC
• Identifying quality risks and proposing process improvements
• Contributing to the continuous evolution of QA best practices within the team

Expected competences and knowledge

5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer / Test Automation Engineer

Commercial experience inbackend test automation

Strong knowledge ofJava

Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such asJUnit, TestNG, REST Assured or similar

Experience withREST API testing

Practical knowledge ofPostman

Good knowledge ofSQL

Experience working withmicroservices architecture

Good knowledge ofGit

Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot issues

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test automation code

English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

Experience withCI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar)

Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Understanding of contract testing and service virtualization

Experience working in e-commerce or high-traffic platforms
