Job summary

Jit Team is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a banking project and ensure data quality across transformations, validating data, and testing complex integrations. You will design and maintain automated tests for data flows, backend services, APIs, and integration processes to support an Automation First approach and reliable data across systems.

You will work in a hybrid setup from Gdynia, Gdańsk, or Warsaw, with three days in the office per week, collaborating with developers

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in test automation in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Java 17+ for test automation development.
• Practical experience with JUnit 5.
• Strong SQL skills and database testing experience.
• Experience testing data quality and transformations.
• REST and/or SOAP API testing experience.
• Experience using RESTAssured for automated API testing.
• Understanding QA methodologies, test design, defect management, and regression testing.
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks with Clean Code.
• Knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar).
• Experience with Jira and test management tools.

Project

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a banking project. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the quality of data, validating data transformations, and testing complex integration processes across Master Data Management solutions. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining automated tests for data flows, backend services, APIs, and integration processes, helping drive an Automation First approach while ensuring high-quality and reliable data across systems.

Responsibilities You’ll Have

• Design and implement automated tests for data transformations, data distribution processes, integrations, and APIs
• Validate data quality and ensure consistency of data across multiple systems
• Perform database testing, including data verification and backend process validation
• Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks
• Create and execute regression test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze test results, investigate defects, and provide clear test evidence and reporting
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, Product Owners, and other teams
• Support automation initiatives for both new and existing products
• Leverage AI tools, including GitHub Copilot, to improve test automation efficiency
• Mentor and support less experienced team members in test automation best practices

Expected competences and knowledge

• 6+ years of experience in test automation, preferably within complex enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ for test automation development
• Practical experience with JUnit 5
• Strong SQL skills and solid experience in database testing, data validation, and backend data verification
• Experience testing data quality, data transformations, integration processes, and backend services
• Hands-on experience with REST and/or SOAP API testing
• Experience using RESTAssured for automated API testing
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, defect management, and regression testing
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks following Clean Code principles
• Good knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar)
• Experience with Jira and test management tools
