Job summary

EPAM Systems in Warsaw seeks a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Financial Services Practice. You will develop Java-based applications for major banks, implement REST APIs, and apply reactive programming to build responsive systems.

You will design and maintain unit tests, integrate MongoDB, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software. The role includes client-site work 3 days/week with hybrid and remote options within Poland.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development, focusing on Java 8 & 9.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, ideally MongoDB.
• REST API implementation expertise, ideally with JAX-RS.
• Experience with Reactive Programming, ideally RxJava.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Experience developing fintech applications or within financial institutions is a plus.
• Familiarity with microservice architectures.
• Experience in Agile Scrum.
• Experience working on globally distributed teams.
