Job summary

EPAM Systems in Wroclaw, Poland, invites a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design and build next-generation business applications using the latest technologies, iteratively refine user requirements, and remove ambiguity while being challenged to learn and grow professionally.

You will collaborate with software architects and team members, conduct code reviews, and contribute to SDLC, with hybrid work and potential remote days within Poland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Java.
• Experience in full stack web app development across Java backend and frontend.
• Expertise in Java frameworks: Spring, JPA, Hibernate.
• Front-end technologies: TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular, React.
• Database skills: Oracle, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL.
• Event-driven architecture and cloud: Kafka, Azure.
• DevOps tools: Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Linux, shell scripts.
• Ability to convey technical ideas clearly and challenge effectively.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

We are looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to design and build next-generation business applications using the latest technologies, iteratively refine user requirements, and remove ambiguity while being challenged to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology solutions that solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• Design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages
• Analyze business requirements
• Collaborate with team members, software architects, and 3rd party providers to drive delivery
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing applications
• Conduct code reviews and test software as needed
• Participate in application architecture and design and other phases of SDLC
• Ensure proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process moves from test to production

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with Java
• Understanding of modern web application development across the entire technology stack of Java Backend and web-based Frontend development
• Expertise in Java and associated frameworks such as Spring, JPA and Hibernate
• Knowledge of front end technologies such as Typescript/JavaScript, Angular and React
• Familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL DB and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of event driven architecture (e.g. Kafka) and cloud technology (preferably Azure)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, GitLab and Jenkins, along with Ansible playbooks, Linux operating systems and shell scripts
• Ability to convey technical ideas and concepts to all audiences as well as the confidence to challenge effectively
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
