Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Lead Java Software Engineer to design and build next-generation wealth management applications, delivering digital banking solutions for clients and client advisors.

You will work within the Wealth Management Investing delivery team under the Technology division. You will mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and ensure robust SDLC practices, CI/CD with GitLab and Jenkins, and Azure cloud integration while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Java software engineering.
• Solid understanding of modern web app development (backend and frontend).
• Proficiency in Java frameworks: Spring, JPA, Hibernate.
• Frontend tech: TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular or React.
• Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL; PL/SQL exposure.
• Knowledge of Kafka and cloud tech (Azure).
• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Jenkins; Ansible, Linux, shell scripts.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver sustainable Java-based solutions for wealth management.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and third parties to drive delivery.
• Review code and test software to ensure quality and reliability.
• Contribute to application architecture and SDLC activities.
• Ensure operational controls for smooth transition from test to production.
