Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Kraków seeks a Lead Java Software Engineer to design and build next-generation business applications for the Wealth Management Investing delivery team as part of the Technology division to provide digital banking solutions for clients and client advisors.

You will work with a modern stack across Java backend and web-based frontend, using Spring, JPA, Hibernate, TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular and React, with Kafka, cloud, and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with Java.
• Strong full-stack Java backend and web UI development.
• Experience with Spring, JPA and Hibernate.
• Frontend: TypeScript/JavaScript, Angular, React.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL; PL/SQL exposure.
• Knowledge of Kafka and cloud tech (Azure).
• Git, GitLab, Jenkins experience; Linux and shell scripting.
• English proficiency at B2 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver sustainable Java-based business apps.
• Collaborate with architects and third-party providers to drive delivery.
• Contribute to SDLC and application architecture decisions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure software quality.
• Support transition from test to production and operate controls.
