Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Name and Media Screening engineering team.

You will deliver robust Java applications, lead Scrum ceremonies for the pod, and drive CI improvements in a highly collaborative, globally distributed environment. You will work with Business Analysts, QA and Management on technical decisions, ensuring adherence to standards while maintaining a strong focus on user experience and predictable delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing Java applications
• Experience applying Scrum, Agile and Lean principles in practice
• Experience enabling delivery in distributed, multicultural teams
• Proficient with SQL databases, Oracle-friendly

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications
• Drive continuous integration and improvements
• Act as Scrum Master for the pod and coach Scrum practices
• Facilitate ceremonies and remove impediments to deliver reliably
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers and Management on technical matters
• Ensure alignment with guidelines, standards and processes
