Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Java Backend Developer to design scalable enterprise platforms with a focus on distributed systems, real-time data processing, and cloud-native architectures. The role requires collaborating across teams, implementing CQRS and Event Sourcing, and ensuring SDLC best practices.

You will work in a hybrid setup with three days per week onsite at client offices and opportunities to work remotely within Poland.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience with microservices and data streaming architectures.
• Proficiency in security protocols (Azure AD, OAuth).
• Strong knowledge of REST, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable enterprise platforms using distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Build real-time streaming and time-series data pipelines with high throughput.
• Develop microservices and data streaming solutions with Java frameworks.
• Apply resilience engineering and security best practices.
• Translate business requirements into global technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage AI-assisted tools.
• Implement CQRS and Event Sourcing within enterprise architecture.
• Ensure SDLC compliance and modern software development standards.
• Adapt architecture to complex regulatory domains.
