Job summary

LanceSoft Europe is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join a Warsaw-based engineering team focused on highly scalable, data-intensive applications with GenAI/Agentic AI solutions. The role centers on hands-on Java backend development using Spring Boot and Microservices, with opportunities to work on GenAI/LLM and agentic applications.

You will design, build and maintain production-grade backend systems, collaborate with AI and data teams, and own technical decisions.

Hands-on Java backend development with Spring Boot and microservices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain production-grade backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
Take ownership of technical solutions and make independent engineering decisions.
Work with large-scale data processing and distributed data platforms.
Develop and integrate GenAI/LLM-based solutions, including agentic applications and workflows.
Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions.
Contribute to the full development lifecycle from design through production delivery.
Evaluate existing approaches and suggest improvements or alternatives.
Work with colleagues across backend, data and AI areas to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Strong hands-on Java development experience and deep Spring Boot/microservices knowledge.
Experience with large-scale data processing or data engineering pipelines.
