Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Poland is seeking a Senior AI & Agentic Systems Engineer (Java) to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and agentic workflows on top of robust Java/Spring Boot backends.

You will integrate LLMs, architect autonomous AI agents, and implement RESTful interfaces, collaborating with data scientists and product teams to deliver production-ready solutions. The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, deep Java and Spring Boot expertise, and strong English

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience with a strong Java backend.
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with AI agents development or LLM integration.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot and enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks like Spring AI or LangChain4J.
• Proficiency in English in cross-functional, international Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and agentic systems.
• Integrate LLMs into enterprise-grade applications for reliability and scalability.
• Architect autonomous AI agent workflows capable of planning and execution.
• Develop RESTful APIs interfaces between AI components and ecosystems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams.
• Mentor team members on AI integration patterns.
• Stay current with AI landscape and best practices.
