Job summary

Relout is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join the FA Modernization Team in Kraków, Poland. The role focuses on gathering requirements, translating them into clear User Stories and Epics, and supporting the delivery of a new automation product for change tickets, with DevSecOps and dependency management integrations.

The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders, use UML and SQL for analysis, and drive Agile delivery through Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst or System-Business Analyst.
• Strong requirements gathering and analysis skills.
• Experience creating User Stories and Epics.
• Knowledge of INVEST principles.
• Experience with UML diagrams and SQL.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience in Scrum or Kanban.

We are currently looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join the FA Modernization Team in a project delivered for a client from the financial sector.

The project is being built from scratch and focuses on creating a separate product that automates the creation of ServiceNow/ProTech change tickets, with additional integrations around dependency management and DevSecOps processes. The role combines business and system analysis with close cooperation with technical teams responsible for designing and implementing the new solution.

We are looking for an experienced analyst who can independently gather and refine requirements, translate business needs into clear User Stories and Epics, and support the team throughout the delivery process. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as well as practical experience with UML, SQL, Jira, Confluence and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Gathering, analysing and refining business and system requirements
• Translating business needs into well-structured User Stories and Epics
• Defining and refining requirements in line with INVEST principles
• Supporting the analysis and design of the solution automating ServiceNow/ProTech change ticket creation
• Analysing requirements related to integrations with dependency management and DevSecOps processes
• Creating business and system models and diagrams using UML
• Using SQL to analyse and validate data when required
• Clarifying requirements, dependencies and acceptance criteria with business and technical stakeholders
• Maintaining requirements and project documentation in Jira and Confluence
• Working closely with developers and other technical team members throughout the implementation process
• Supporting backlog refinement and Agile delivery processes
• Participating in Scrum and/or Kanban ceremonies
• Independently identifying gaps, inconsistencies and ambiguities in requirements and driving them to resolution

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst or System-Business Analyst
• Very good knowledge of requirements gathering and requirements analysis
• Practical experience in creating User Stories and Epics
• Good understanding and practical application of INVEST principles
• Experience in creating business models and diagrams using UML
• Practical knowledge of SQL sufficient for data analysis and validation
• Very good knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban
• Ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to independently conduct analysis and refine requirements
• Experience working in complex IT environments and supporting delivery teams throughout the development lifecycle

Nice to have

• Previous experience in financial or banking projects
• Experience in projects related to ServiceNow, DevSecOps or dependency management
• Experience acting as a Team Lead, Scrum Master or supporting Agile delivery processes
