Job summary

Calan, a well-established Polish food manufacturer in Szczecin, seeks an experienced Financial Manager to join its leadership team. You will lead the finance function and drive ERP transformation while partnering with local management and external auditors.

The role offers a competitive compensation package, company car and private medical care, placing you in a senior position within a growing international group. Fluency in Polish and English is required, with 7–15 years in finance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 7–15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or controlling within international industrial/manufacturing groups.
• Solid knowledge of Polish accounting standards, VAT and CIT.
• Experience coordinating accounting teams and working with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver insightful financial analysis across profitability, pricing, variance drivers, growth opportunities and risk; partner to local management.
• Lead and develop the finance organization, including the Accounting & Controlling team.
• Oversee general accounting and monthly closings in line with group standards.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital optimization.
• Ensure tax compliance; coordinate with external advisors and statutory auditors.
• Negotiate with banks, insurers and other financial partners.
• Drive the digital transformation and automation of finance/accounting processes (ERP projects and reporting).
• Ensure timely statutory and group reporting; collaborate with Group Controlling.
