Our client is a well-established Polish manufacturer operating in the food industry, headquartered in Szczecin. Part of a leading European group with over €1.2 billion in consolidated revenue, the Polish subsidiary generates approximately €200 million in annual turnover. With around 140 employees and a fully integrated production facility located steps from the Baltic Sea port, it is a key industrial player in Central Europe’s food sector.
As part of an ambitious growth trajectory — including a major ERP transformation — the company is looking for an experienced finance leader to join its management team:
FINANCIAL MANAGER
Reports to: General Manager Poland / dotted line to Group Controller
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver insightful financial analysis across profitability, pricing, variance drivers, growth opportunities and risk, acting as a strategic partner to local management.
- Lead and develop the finance organization, including the Accounting & Controlling team.
- Oversee accurate and timely general accounting and monthly closings in line with group standards.
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts and manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital optimization.
- Ensure full tax compliance (CIT, VAT, indirect taxes); coordinate with external advisors and statutory auditors.
- Negotiate with banks, insurers and other financial partners.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to local and group-level policies.
- Drive the digital transformation and automation of finance and accounting processes, including support for ERP projects and reporting improvements.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory and group reporting; collaborate closely with the Group Controlling team.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- 7 to 15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or controlling — ideally within an international industrial or manufacturing group.
- Solid knowledge of Polish accounting standards, tax regulations (VAT, CIT) and financial reporting.
- Experience managing or coordinating accounting teams and working with external auditors and advisors.
- Track record in ERP implementation or finance process transformation is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset.
- Strong affinity with IT systems and digital finance tools.
- Fluent Polish; communicative English (written and spoken).
- Proactive, assertive, autonomous — comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced industrial environment.
