Job summary

Moderna is expanding its international business services hub in Warsaw and seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Software Engineer to help build secure, scalable platform capabilities. You will work with developers to accelerate software delivery across the organization and improve developer experience.

You will partner with engineers to migrate workloads, onboard teams, and design infrastructure that enables rapid, secure, and reliable application delivery, while advancing AI-assisted software

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or DevSecOps experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud environments.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines for production systems.
• Interest in developer tooling, platform engineering, and secure software delivery.
• Fundamentals of software engineering including testing, code review, version control, and system design.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute across platform engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve automation powering Moderna's internal developer platform using Python, TypeScript, GitHub Actions, Pulumi, Docker, AWS, JFrog, and APIs.
• Collaborate with Builders to migrate workloads onto standardized, secure platform capabilities.
• Onboard repositories and teams, validate platform behavior, improve workflows, and document remediation paths.
• Design and maintain developer workspace infra, templates, container configs, base images, tooling, and onboarding docs.
• Improve platform reliability via monitoring, dashboards, runbooks, and automation to reduce toil.
• Develop internal docs and paved road guidance for consistent adoption of platform capabilities.
• Identify recurring challenges and improve shared frameworks, templates, and tooling.
• Provide operational support for platform services while automating routine tasks.
• Expand AI-assisted software development by integrating MCP-style capabilities and AI agents.
• Contribute across design, implementation, cloud infra, CI/CD, and production operations.
