Lufthansa Systems Poland is seeking a Data Analyst / Data Scientist to apply data analysis, advanced analytics, and GenAI across commercial aviation processes, including pricing, demand forecasting, and revenue optimization.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, build ML models, and develop dashboards in Tableau/Power BI, deploying solutions on Azure/Databricks. This role embraces a hybrid work model with two days per week in Gdańsk, Poland.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Science/Advanced Analytics or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Practical experience building and validating ML models.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.

Join us as a Data Analyst / Data Scientist in the Data Delivery commercial domain of the airline industry, where you'll apply data analysis, advanced analyticsand GenAI — spanning everything from data quality verification and BI development in Tableau/Power BI to machine learning modeling to enhance key areas such as network planning, scheduling, and revenue management. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving commercial efficiency, refining strategic decisions, and maximizing profitability through data-driven insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and enhance machine learning models supporting commercial airline processes, including pricing, demand forecasting, customer behavior analysis, and revenue optimization.
• Analyze complex business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions with measurable business impact.
• Evaluate and improve existing analytical and predictive models to ensure robustness, accuracy, and business relevance.
• Explore and implement Generative AI use cases that enhance decision-making and business processes.
• Conduct advanced data analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization, customer insights, and revenue growth.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, helping them understand data-driven opportunities and translating business needs into analytical solutions.
• Contribute to the development of data products, from concept and proof of value through implementation and adoption.
• Communicate findings and recommendations through dashboards, reports, presentations, and workshops.
• Support the deployment and operationalization of analytical solutions within the Azure and Databricks ecosystem.

Who are you?

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Practical experience building and validating machine learning models.
• Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience working with Databricks or similar modern analytics platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Good command of English (B2/C1).
• Availability to work in a hybrid model – 2 days per week in our Gdańsk office.
