Job summary

Lufthansa Systems Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize data pipelines, explore datasets, and craft dashboards for stakeholders across the Digital Hangar and Middleware teams.

You will use Python, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and BI tools to deliver actionable insights. Travel quarterly and be onsite in Gdańsk two days a week or relocate within Tri-City area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering/Analytics/Processing.
• 2+ years in Python, PySpark and BI tooling.
• Experience with data lakes and API data extraction.
• Strong English communication skills and collaboration in teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality data processing pipelines.
• Explore datasets and derive insights.
• Create dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau.
• Collaborate with Middleware and Digital Hangar teams.
• Participate in Scrum activities and bring new solutions.

Why do we need you?

As a member you will be responsible for delivering high quality data processing pipelines, exploring data sets and creating Dashboards. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to work with both the Middleware team and the Digital Hangar.

Who are you?

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in Data Engineering/ Data Analytics/ Data Processing,
• Strong experience in: Python, PySpark, Pytest, Azure Data Factory, Azure AML, Databricks and Git.
• Must have experience in creating data visualizations using BI tools e.g., Tableau,
• Experience in Modern Data Architecture (Data Lake),
• Experience in data extraction from APIs,
• Working knowledge of modern development tools and processes (VCS, CI/CD),
• Practical knowledge of data understanding, cleaning, and analyzing, structured databases,
• Very good command of English language,
• Proactive attitude and the ability to work as a team player,
• The ability to think beyond the current scope of the project,
• Experience actively participating in a Scrum team by bringing in new solutions,
• Willingness to travel once per quarter,
• Willingness to upskill on your own initiative and deriving further insights from data,
• Willingness to come to our office in Gdańsk two days a week or relocate to Trójmiasto.
• Nice to have tool set - SQL, Numpy, Pandas.
