AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize, migrate, and maintain data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments. The role requires 3+ years of senior-level experience, strong Python/Bash/SQL and deep AWS, Snowflake, and Kafka expertise.

You will migrate infrastructure to AWS us-east-2, enable secure data access, and modernize architecture and tooling, collaborating across teams to ensure reliable operation and governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of senior-level, hands-on experience in production data-platform engineering.
• Strong Python, Bash, and SQL skills.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Confluent/Kafka, with a focus on DevOps and operations.
• Deep Snowflake and AWS, with working Kafka knowledge, or Deep Kafka/Confluent and AWS, with Snowflake knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Migrate infrastructure and data-platform workloads to the new infrastructure.
• Move data-platform infra to AWS us-east-2 (USE2) with connectivity, deployment and ops prerequisites.
• Ensure secure, governed data access for data-platform consumers and downstream systems.
• Modernize data-platform architecture, tooling, orchestration, storage and operations to align with standards.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations across stages and production.
• Participate in production troubleshooting, incident response, runbooks and cross-team migration coordination.
• Use Terraform/IaC, GitLab, monitoring and documented processes to deliver repeatable changes.
