AgileEngine data team is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize, migrate, and maintain our data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments.

You will work with AWS, Snowflake, Kafka, and Terraform to deliver reliable, scalable data services with secure access controls and efficient operations. This role demands 3+ years of senior production data-platform engineering, strong Python, Bash, and SQL, and upper-intermediate English. Flexible remote-friendly setup offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of senior-level production data-platform engineering experience.
• Strong Python, Bash, and SQL skills.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Confluent/Kafka, with DevOps focus.
• Deep Snowflake and AWS knowledge with Kafka knowledge.
• Experience operating/migrating production systems across environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident-response, documentation, and cross-team communication.
• Experience with least-privilege access and secure operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Migrate infrastructure and data-platform workloads to the new infrastructure.
• Move data-platform workloads to AWS us-east-2 (USE2) with connectivity, deployment and operations in place.
• Enable secure, governed data access for data-platform consumers and downstream systems.
• Modernize data-platform architecture, tooling, orchestration, storage and operations to align with standards.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations across stage and production.
• Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, documentation, runbooks and cross-team migration coordination.
• Use Terraform/IaC, GitLab, monitoring and documented processes to deliver auditable changes.
