Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize, migrate, and maintain data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments.

The role focuses on moving workloads to AWS and Snowflake/Kafka ecosystems, implementing secure access, and improving operational practices with IaC and monitoring. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in production data-platform engineering and strong DevOps alignment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production data-platform engineering with a platform/DevOps-leaning background and strong data experience.
• Strong Python, Bash, and SQL skills.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Confluent/Kafka; deep in one and working knowledge in the other (Snowflake+AWS or Kafka)
• Experience operating or migrating production systems across development, staging, and production.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident-response, testing, documentation, and cross-team communication skills.
• Experience with least-privilege access, change control, secrets handling, and secure operations.
• Strong cross-functional communication and upper-intermediate English.

Responsibilities

• Migrate infrastructure and data-platform workloads from client infrastructure to new infrastructure.
• Move data-platform workloads to AWS with connectivity, deployment, and prerequisites.
• Enable secure, governed data access for consumers and downstream systems.
• Modernize data-platform architecture, tooling, orchestration, storage, and ops practices.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations across stages.
• Participate in production troubleshooting, incident response, and runbook creation.
• Use Terraform/IaC, GitLab, monitoring to deliver repeatable, auditable changes.
