AgileEngine is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize, migrate, and maintain reliable data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments.

The role requires 3+ years of senior-level production data-platform engineering, strong Python, Bash and SQL, AWS, Snowflake and Kafka/Confluent expertise, and upper-intermediate English. Legacy data migration experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of senior-level production data-platform engineering experience.
• Strong Python, Bash and SQL skills.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Confluent/Kafka, plus AWS.
• Experience with Terraform/IaC and GitLab for deployments.
• Excellent troubleshooting and cross-team communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize data-platform infrastructure across environments.
• Move data-platform workloads to AWS us-east-2 and ensure connectivity.
• Provide secure, governed data access for consumers and systems.
• Modernize architecture, tooling, and operational practices.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations.
• Participate in incident response, Runbooks, and cross-team coordination.
• Use IaC and GitLab to deliver auditable changes.
