AgileEngine, LLC is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to modernize and maintain data-platform infrastructure across cloud and enterprise environments. The role requires 3+ years of senior-level production data-platform engineering, with strong Python, Bash, SQL, AWS, Snowflake, and Kafka/Confluent expertise.

You will migrate workloads to AWS us-east-2, ensure secure, governed data access, and modernize architecture and tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of senior-level, hands-on production data-platform engineering.
• Strong Python, Bash, and SQL.
• Production experience with Snowflake and Confluent/Kafka.
• Upper-intermediate English.
• Legacy data migration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Migrate data-platform workloads to the new infrastructure.
• Move data-platform workloads to AWS us-east-2 with connectivity and deployment.
• Ensure secure, governed access to data for consumers.
• Modernize architecture, tooling, orchestration, storage, and ops.
• Support Snowflake, Confluent/Kafka, AWS migrations and operations.
• Participate in production troubleshooting, runbooks, and cross-team coordination.
• Use Terraform/IaC, GitLab, monitoring to deliver auditable changes.
