Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Data & AI team on the Ahold account. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions enabling analytics, ML, and BI to drive business value.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality data delivery. You will lead a team, design technical solutions for data platforms, enforce standards, and oversee feature delivery while mentoring junior members and communicating with

Qualifications

• Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for data refinement.
• Work with Delta, Iceberg, Parquet formats.
• Utilize orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.
• Apply data modeling techniques (Data Vault, Kimball) in SQL warehouses (Synapse, Hive).
• Demonstrate advanced Azure Data Platform components incl. Data Lake Gen2, Data Factory, SQL, Databricks, Key Vault, CosmosDB, App Services, Analysis Services, Docker/Kubernetes, Stream Analytics.
• Maintain awareness of security, automation, and cost management in Azure.
• Exhibit expert SQL and strong Python or C# skills.
• Have experience with analytics and BI concepts and Microsoft Azure Analytics solutions.
• Leadership and communication for managing teams and stakeholder interactions.
