Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and operate a critical European data product that informs Sales and Finance decisions. You will own end‑to‑end data pipelines in Azure, shape the reporting layer, and partner with business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists and analysts, ensuring production readiness and continuous improvement across the Europe IT ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands‑on experience in Data Engineering.
• Building reporting layers.
• Designing and implementing data pipelines.
• Applying data transformations and business logic.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Azure (preferred), GCP or AWS.
• Cross‑functional, business‑facing environments.
• Collaboration with Data Scientists and analytics teams.
• Strong SQL skills; Databricks / Spark or PySpark experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate an end‑to‑end data product from ingestion to business‑ready outputs.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines in Microsoft Azure.
• Shape and implement the reporting layer with stakeholders (Power BI or alternatives).
• Partner with Sales and Finance to translate business questions into data solutions.
• Work hands‑on with Data Scientists and analysts to enable advanced use cases.
• Ensure production readiness with documentation, monitoring and improvements.
• Contribute to team practices and knowledge sharing within Europe IT.
• Actively participate in engineering best practices and alignment with business needs.
