Job summary

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will be working for our client within the UK Data Strategy Sub Value Stream, supporting strategic data enhancement initiatives for the bank’s CTO. You will play a pivotal role in elicitating business needs, mapping data attributes, and enabling seamless delivery of quality data to empower customer campaigns. Your main responsibilities:

• Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit comprehensive business requirements.
• Identify and map data attributes aligned with business use cases.
• Enable delivery of data to Pega teams, supporting customer marketing initiatives.
• Create and manage Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
• Support solution design including the creation of Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and options papers.
• Assist in testing activities, particularly User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare and present governance documentation for forums such as Steerco, SVS Review, and Working Groups.
• Collaborate within Agile frameworks, participating in Scrum ceremonies using Jira and Confluence.
• Support Waterfall delivery processes and conduct process mapping activities.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in change delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in data analysis and mapping data attributes to business needs.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proven background in process mapping.
• Experience working within Agile (Scrum, Jira, Confluence) and Waterfall delivery models.
• Skilled in eliciting requirements via workshops and interviews.
• Experience creating and managing BRDs and RTMs.
• Solution design expertise, including creating SDDs and options papers.
• Support experience in testing, especially UAT.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Previous experience working within HSBC or similar banking environments.
• Knowledge of data controls, Data Quality, or data governance.
• Experience working with Pega platforms.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English (good command).
