About the role
You will own the entire requirements process onour client projects, and you will bethe bridge between the client, the product and the engineering team.
This isnot aBA role whose main job isdocumentation.
Weexpect you torun the client communication yourself, lead discovery, shape and challenge requirements, and help design the solution together with the technical team— especially onourAI and fintech projects. You need tobetechnical enough tospeak the same language asdevelopers and architects, and toturn the client’s business need into something the team can actually build.
Weenter projects two different ways. Often from scratch: nowritten product definition exists yet, and weauthor itwith the client. Just asoften byjoining something already inflight: anexisting backlog, someone else’s conventions, adeadline already running. Both ask the same thing ofyou— build the structure where there isnone, and take the requirements tothe point where adeveloper can build without guessing.
What you willdo:
- Drive the client communication— you don’t just take part inthe meetings, you drive the discussion.
- Lead discovery and refinement sessions with clients inEnglish— you run them, you don’t take notes atthem.
- Shape and challenge requirements, and help design the solution together with the technical team.
- Join running projects, map what already exists, and bring the documentation toaconsistent, testable state.
- Write specifications developers can build from: concise, testable acceptance criteria, noduplication, noinvented facts.
- Turn unknowns into open questions with named owners, and chase them down the cheapest route that can answer them.
- Support scope and ROM estimation with explicit assumptions, dependencies and confidence levels.
- Use AIas afull working instrument inyour analysis, and take part inbuilding AI-enabled solutions— verifying everything itproduces before itreaches aclient oradeveloper.
What weare looking for:
- Strong client-facing experience— you have been the person the client talksto, not the person briefed afterwards.
- Strong fintech/ banking expertise— adeep understanding offinancial products and processes, integrations and data flows: enough toask the right questions, spot the risks and challenge what the client asks for.
- AnAIbackground— experience onprojects where AIis part ofthe product, plus daily use ofAI tools inyour own analysis work, including aconcrete example ofcatching awrong AIoutput.
- Technical enough tospeak the same language asdevelopers and architects.
- 5+years asaBusiness Analyst/ Systems Analyst incustom software development, including atleast 2years asthe only analyst onaproject.
- Experience ofboth entries: starting aproduct from scratch, where the requirements had tobecreated rather than collected, and joining aproject already inflight with documentation you did not write.
- English B2+(C1preferred)— enough tofacilitate aworkshop with aclient, not only toattend one.
- Discipline inwritten specifications: testable acceptance criteria, and the judgement tocut what does not belong.
- Confident daily use ofJira and Confluence; able toread designs inFigma.
- The habit ofasking the uncomfortable question asecond time when the first one was brushed off.
Nice tohave:
- Pre-sale experience: scope shaping, assumptions, ROMestimates, proposal input.
- Domains beyond fintech: healthcare, logistics, renewable energy.
- BPMN/ UML/ ERD used asameans ofagreement, not asadeliverable for its own sake.
- Experience mentoring analysts orreviewing other people’s specifications.
How wework:
- One department standard and one quality rubric— your work ismeasured against the same instrument aseveryone else’s, and soiseveryone else’s.
- Decisions have named gates: AIdrafts, ahuman decides, and itiswritten down who decided.
- Wefight documentation overload asamatter ofpolicy. Shorter and testable beats longer and thorough.
