Job summary

Specific-Group Poland is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge business needs and a distributed engineering team. You will analyze requirements, design REST and SOAP integrations, and create FRD/NFR documentation.

You’ll work with PostgreSQL data validations, BPMN models, and API contracts across multiple external systems, in a fully remote, 40-hour-week setup. English at B2+ is expected; Polish language not required.

• Hands-on in REST/SOAP integrations; proficient with JSON/XML/CSV data contracts.
• Strong SQL querying against PostgreSQL to validate requirements.

The Client

A German bank runs digital onboarding and securities transactions through an enterprise API layer, consisting of 100+ REST and SOAP endpoints across five integrated systems, built in Java on top of the bank's Core Banking System. When the requirements behind those endpoints are not precise, delivery stalls.

The Role

This isn't requirements-gathering theatre. You sit between the business and a distributed engineering team, turning business needs into specifications that developers can implement without a second round of questions.

You analyze and design integrations yourself, working with REST and SOAP APIs, JSON/XML/CSV contracts, BPMN process models, and PostgreSQL data validations rather than delegating the hard part.

You will join an established SPG team, not as a standalone consultant embedded into the client's organization, but as part of a delivery cluster that already knows how to get things done.

1 PM, 2 DevOps, 2 Developers, 3 QA.

What you’ll do

You have

• Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst with a solid technical background and the ability to communicate effectively with developers;
• Hands-on experience in analyzing and designing REST and SOAP integrations, with solid knowledge of JSON, XML, and CSV data contracts;
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries against PostgreSQL to validate requirements and specifications;
• Strong BPMN modeling skills and the ability to drive specification quality without relying on fully documented business requirements;
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher (used daily within a distributed team, including collaboration with a German bank);
• Experience in the banking domain.

One honest thing

The team is fully distributed and works with a lot of autonomy. If you do your best work when you own the outcome and don't need a PM feeding you tickets, you'll fit well. If you want close day-to-day direction, this isn't the seat.
