Job summary

ALDI Tech Hub in Kraków is seeking an experienced Senior BI Engineer to lead the international BI and data engineering agenda. You will shape scalable BI architecture, work with Databricks, Spark, and Power BI to deliver enterprise dashboards and analytics across ALDI Nord countries.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive data governance, and act as a technical lead for complex BI topics, mentoring colleagues and expanding the analytics platform.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional BI or Data Engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong full-stack BI skills: Databricks, Spark, data modeling, semantic layers.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with large-scale data environments.
• Ability to design dashboards and translate data into actionable insights; leadership or mentoring is a plus.

Your tasks

• Design and drive the evolution of the international Business Intelligence strategy, with a strong focus on scalable BI architecture across all ALDI Nord countries,leveraging leadingMicrosoft Cloudand Databrickstechnologies
• Define and implement end-to-end BI and analytics solutions, from data ingestion and engineering (e.g., Databricks) to semantic models and interactive dashboards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data governance frameworks for international data usage and compliance
• Act as a technical lead and architecture expert, guiding and consulting team members and serving as the key point of contact for complex, cross-domain BI architecture topics
• Contribute to the continuous expansion and enhancement of the international analytics platform

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Business Intelligenceand/orData Engineering ideally in a consulting or large-scale enterprise environment
• Strong full-stack BIexpertise, including:
  • Backend/data engineering experience (e.g.,Databricks, Spark)
  • Datamodelingand semantic layer design
  • Frontend/reporting tools (e.g.,Power BI)
• Proven ability to design and deliver stakeholder-oriented dashboards and reporting solutions, and to translate complex datasets into actionable insights
• Advanced programming skills in Python, SQL(R is a plus), with experience handling large-scale data environments
• Experience in technical leadership or mentoring of team members is a strong advantage
