ALDI Tech Hub in Kraków seeks an experienced Senior BI/Data Engineer to design and drive the international BI strategy and analytics platform. You will lead end-to-end BI solutions, collaborate on governance, and guide cross-functional teams on scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional BI and/or data engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack BI expertise including backend data engineering with Databricks/Spark.

• Experience in technical leadership or mentoring.

Your tasks

• Design and drive the evolution of the international Business Intelligence strategy, with a strong focus on scalable BI architecture across all ALDI Nord countries,leveragingleading Microsoft Cloudand Databrickstechnologies

• Define and implement end-to-end BI and analytics solutions, from data ingestion and engineering (e.g., Databricks) to semantic models and interactive dashboards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data governance frameworks for international data usage and compliance

• Act as a technical lead and architecture expert, guiding and consulting team members and serving as the key point of contact for complex, cross-domain BI architecture topics

• Contribute to the continuous expansion and enhancement of the international analytics platform

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Business Intelligenceand/orData Engineering ideally in a consulting or large-scale enterprise environment
• Strong full-stack BIexpertise, including:
  • Backend/data engineering experience (e.g., Databricks, Spark)
  • Datamodelingand semantic layer design
  • Frontend/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Proven ability to design and deliver stakeholder-oriented dashboards and reporting solutions, and to translate complex datasets into actionable insights
• Advanced programming skills in Python, SQL (R is a plus), with experience handling large-scale data environments
• Experience in technical leadership or mentoring of team members is a strong advantage
