Job summary

ALDI Tech Hub in Krakow is seeking an experienced Data Scientist/ML Engineer to drive analytics and AI product development across the business. You will translate needs into data-driven questions, build scalable solutions with no-code/low-code or pro-code approaches, and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders.

The role requires a STEM degree, several years in data science/ML/AI, and strong English (B2+). Hybrid work and a modern office are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in data science, ML, or AI.
• Proven expertise in developing data-driven solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Python, MLflow, SQL, Databricks, Azure OpenAI, and Azure ML.
• Experience with agile, DevOps, MLOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong English language skills (B2+).

Your tasks

• Drive the development of our analytics and AI product portfolio, creating measurable business value through data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Advise business stakeholders on data science, ML and AI opportunities, supporting the implementation of data-driven solutions.
• Translate business requirements into data-driven questions and deliver actionable insights and measurable outcomes.
• Design and implement scalable solutions using the most appropriate no-code, low-code or pro-code approaches.
• Identify, explore and integrate new data sources, performing analyses and supporting our data lake environment.
• Develop, validate and improve machine learning models and AI solutions, ensuring proper documentation and collaboration with stakeholders, data scientists and ML engineers.

Requirements

• You have successfully completed a degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, engineering, or a related STEM field, or can demonstrate an equivalent qualification.
• You have several years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, as well as proven expertise in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.
• You have in-depth knowledge of modern technologies and tools such as Python, MLflow, SQL, Databricks, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML).
• You have practical experience with agile methodologies, as well as DevOps, MLOps, and CI/CD practices.
• You are solution-oriented, outcome-driven, and can demonstrate clear, measurable achievements from previous projects.
• You are a team player with a high level of commitment, independence, and analytical thinking.
• You have strong English language skills (at least B2 level).
