Job summary

Peloton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to act as the technical lead for an agile team in Warsaw. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor scalable microservices powering Peloton's core features and support international growth.

You’ll mentor junior engineers and coordinate with TPM, Product, Design, and QA throughout the lifecycle. The role emphasizes high availability, security, and performance, with on-site presence Tue–Thu in the Warsaw office.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience building high-performance, highly scalable backend cloud application systems.
• Expertise in Kotlin, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and modern backend frameworks.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with caching systems and search technologies.
• Experience with API design, security, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate business-critical APIs and services with focus on high availability and scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate effectively with TPM and Product.
• Write well-tested, maintainable code and architect reusable components.
• Lead architectural discussions and drive design reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Design, and QA.
• Contribute to incident response and on-call rotations to ensure reliability.
