Job summary

Peloton is seeking a highly accomplished backend software engineer to lead and build customer-facing backend services for our ecommerce platforms. You will be a hands-on technical lead on scalable, disjoint backend platforms and services for internal and external users.

You will guide technical decisions, work in an agile environment, and mentor engineers while focusing on growth and learning in a positive culture. The role spans web, retail and other sales channels.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience with leadership on high-impact projects.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin or Python and building scalable RESTful microservices.
• Experience with distributed messaging (Kafka, SQS) and cloud infra (AWS/GCP).
• Mentoring junior engineers and end-to-end feature ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of initiatives and guide technical decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and product managers to scope and deliver features.
• Build scalable backend services for Peloton's ecommerce and sales channels.
• Foster an inclusive culture and mentor other engineers.
