Job summary

Fresha is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Warsaw-based team. You will design and build backend services powering Fresha’s booking, payments, and POS platforms, collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines.

Expect a fast feedback loop with production changes often deployed the same day behind feature flags. We value engineers who can break work into parallel tasks, review results, and own services end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend experience in production systems.
• Design for correctness in distributed environments.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and async workflows.
• Experience using AI coding tools within the workflow.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language and fast learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from design to live operation.
• Ship frequently behind feature flags with CI/CD.
• Collaborate across services and teams for multi-repo changes.
• Work with Product, Design, Frontend, Infrastructure and Mobile.
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and monitor performance.
• Contribute to evolving architecture and engineering practices.
