Job summary

Fresha is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for our London-based team. This B2B contract role offers 25–40k PLN net per month plus ESOPs, with four days in the office and one remote day each week.

You’ll design and build the backend services behind Fresha's booking, POS and payments platform, collaborating across Product, Design, Frontend, Infrastructure and Mobile. Join a fast-growing company expanding globally, where AI-powered workflows help shape how we work and where your code lands in

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and running backend services in production.
• Design for correctness and fault tolerance (idempotence, timeouts).
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable services.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Proficient in at least one backend language; willing to learn others.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end: design, build, test, ship and maintain in production.
• Ship changes daily behind a feature flag with CI/CD rollout.
• Work across multiple services and repos to implement complete features.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Frontend, Infrastructure and Mobile teams.
• Keep code healthy, monitor performance and fix bottlenecks.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
