Job summary

HS Financial Technologies is seeking a Senior Middle Office Associate in Krakow to support the end-to-end trade lifecycle across multiple products. You will work on trade capture, settlements, pricing, and client reporting while coordinating with global teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, proactive issue resolution, and collaboration with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. A strong IT mindset and experience with HSFT platforms are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2.5+ years in a middle office, trade support, or similar operational role.
• Advanced knowledge of financial products (Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income, derivatives).
• Strong English (minimum B2; C1+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of trade bookings, end-of-day pricing, and client deliverables.
• Manage lifecycle events on client portfolios (Corporate Actions, Option Expiries, CFD resets).
• Investigate cash and position breaks via reconciliations.
• Act as a point of contact for the Global Follow-the-Sun model.
• Escalate complex issues to management/IT for root cause analysis.

HS Financial Technologies is a rapidly expanding global fund administrator, and we are seeking experienced professionals to join our Middle Office team in Krakow. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of large Multi-Strategy Hedge Funds, gaining hands-on experience with complex financial instruments and global markets.

The Role

As a Senior Middle Office Associate, you will be a vital part of a high-performing team, supporting the end-to-end trade lifecycle for our clients. You will work across key functions such as trade capture, settlements, and pricing, and your responsibilities will extend to trade break resolution, comprehensive client reporting and contributing to our technology development. You will gain invaluable experience in how various financial products trade and operate, setting a strong foundation for your career in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy of all trade bookings, end of day pricing, and client deliverables.
• Management of lifecycle events on our Clients' Portfolio positions - Examples include: Corporate Actions, Option Expiries, and CFD resets.
• Investigate and address cash and position breaks through daily reconciliations.
• Serve as a key point of contact for the Global "Follow the Sun" model, ensuring seamless handovers and continuity of service across Middle Office.
• Proactively identify, analyse, and strategically escalated complex issues to management and/or development teams, contributing to root cause analysis and future prevention.
• Investigating trade booking and pricing queries received from both internal teams and external parties, on a wide range of products.
• Communicate effectively with clients, external vendors, and internal stakeholders, in both written and verbal forms, to ensure correct settlement of trades and resolution of breaks.
• Build a strong working understanding of the propriety HSFT applications and platforms, which support functions such as Trade Capture, Security Master Setups, the creation and delivery of sensitive client reporting, price portfolios, and display real-time PnL and risk to trading teams and Portfolio Managers.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong command of English (minimum B2; C1+ preferred).

Experience:

• 2.5+ years of demonstrable experience in a middle office, trade support, or similar operational role.
• Advanced knowledge of financial products, (i.e. Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income and various derivatives) would be an asset.
• Experience using multiple applications to perform daily tasks, while maintaining appropriate risk and control measures, with high accuracy.

• Technical Skills & IT Literacy: Proficient in Excel and general IT tools. Ability to learn and master multiple proprietary and third-party applications quickly.
• Communication: Articulates complex issues clearly and concisely, building strong rapport with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Advanced Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong ability to identify and address complex, non-standard issues independently.
• Ownership and Accountability: Takes responsibility for client issues and deliverables from start to finish, act as a point of contact for escalations.
