Job summary

Optiveum is seeking a Senior Application and Operation Support Engineer to join a client team in Gdańsk. The role focuses on ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of production and pre-production environments, with a hybrid work model offering 25% remote work.

You will be responsible for incident management, monitoring, and automation efforts, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. We offer a B2B cooperation model directly with Optiveum.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT operations or production support experience.
• 2+ years working within an ITIL framework (incident, problem, change management).
• Experience in Agile delivery environments alongside development teams.
• Advanced English communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Monitoring and observability proficiency with Splunk, Apica, Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Own RCA process for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor service health and proactively prevent incidents.
• Trigger and oversee release deployments through CI/CD pipelines; coordinate rollbacks as needed.
• Maintain stability of Pre-Production and Production environments.
• Document operational procedures and knowledge for the team knowledge base.
• Identify recurring pain points and propose automation to reduce manual toil.
• Collaborate with development and platform teams to triage issues and close feedback loops.
