OPTIVEUM sp. z o.o. is recruiting a Senior Java Fullstack Developer for a banking sector client.

Hybrid work model (75% remote) from Gdańsk or Warszawa, with a direct B2B contract. You will design and implement scalable microservices, REST APIs, and frontend components using Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, Architects, Security Specialists, and Operations teams to deliver secure, reliable software and continuously

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Full Stack Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Angular and Angular Material.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
• Knowledge of security practices (SAST, OWASP) and agile ceremonies.

Senior Java Fullstack Developer

Client: A leading company in the banking sector

Location: Gdańsk or Warszawa (Hybrid work: 75% remote)

Rate: Up to 150 PLN/h net (B2B)

Contracting Party: B2B agreement signed directly with Optiveum

About the role:

We are Optiveum, an IT recruitment and contracting agency. Currently, we are looking for a Senior Java Fullstack Developer for our Client from the banking sector.

In this role, you will work within the Cards Service Domain, focusing on the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of internet-facing Commercial Cards applications. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new functionalities, enhancing existing solutions, and ensuring high availability, performance, and security of business-critical applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Kafka, SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Develop and enhance microservices-based solutions following clean code principles and best practices.

• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.

• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives).

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Analysts, Architects, Security Specialists, and Operations teams to deliver business value.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, incidents, and production issues.

• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities detected through SAST, container scanning, dependency scanning, and penetration testing.

• Drive secure coding practices and contribute to improving the security posture of applications.

• Support CI/CD processes using Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins for efficient software delivery.

• Leverage AI-powered tools (such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot) to improve development efficiency, code quality, and testing.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Full Stack Java development experience.

• Solid hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

• Proficiency in Angular and Angular Material.

• Good knowledge of Kafka and SQL databases.

• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of secure coding and OWASP principles, along with experience resolving security vulnerabilities (SAST, container scans).

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice-to-have:

• Previous experience in the banking, cards, or payments domains.

• Experience with cloud platforms.

• DevSecOps and vulnerability management experience.

• Background in performance tuning and application monitoring.

• Technical mentoring and coaching experience.
