Job summary

Alarm.com is expanding in Kraków to build our Android-based mobile platform. You will develop features for millions of users, collaborate across teams, and implement real-time streaming using modern Android technologies.

We seek a 2+ year Android developer with Kotlin expertise, Android Studio experience, and a background in MVVM/MVI/MVP patterns, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD. Hybrid remote options exist while office work remains primary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin; Java a plus.
• Experience with Android Studio, SDK, and modern architecture patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend integration.
• Knowledge of Coroutines and Flow for async programming.
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies in mobile apps is a plus.
• Video streaming using MediaCodec, HLS/RTSP/WebRTC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop Android features for our flagship mobile app used by millions.
• Collaborate across teams with iOS, backend, QA, and product management.
• Design and implement real-time video streaming features.
• Build responsive UIs following Material Design and best practices.
• Research and apply new Android technologies to meet project goals.
• Contribute ideas and ownership over feature development.
