Job summary

INSTANT IMPACT is representing a leading global financial services firm in Kraków, seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Quality Assurance. You will become a trusted technical authority, ensuring AML/KYC standards are consistently applied across onboarding, periodic reviews and trigger-event reviews while driving quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive practical experience applying AML, KYC, and financial crime regulations within a regulated financial services environment.
• Knowledge of the structure of funds and trusts.
• Experience with client onboarding, periodic reviews, and trigger-event reviews.
• Experience in Compliance Quality Assurance or similar oversight function.
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and provide practical operational guidance.
• Experience conducting root-cause analysis and driving continuous improvement.
• Coaching colleagues, influencing stakeholders, and sharing technical expertise.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent judgement and attention to detail.
• Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based QA reviews of complex and higher-risk client onboarding, periodic review, and trigger-event KYC files.
• Act as a technical escalation point, providing expert interpretation of AML/KYC regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Deliver clear, evidence-based feedback and guidance to Compliance Analysts and key business stakeholders.
• Drive calibration activities to ensure consistency in quality standards, judgement, and outcomes.
• Identify recurring errors, emerging risks, and control weaknesses, recommending practical solutions and improvements.
• Support the development and enhancement of QA methodologies, procedures, templates, and guidance materials.
• Produce quality insights and management information, highlighting key trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Compliance and operational teams to resolve complex challenges and implement sustainable improvements.
• Design and deliver technical training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Support regulatory inspections, audits, and internal reviews through technical expertise and analysis.
