Job summary

Nordea in Poland is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to shape and scale the bank's enterprise AI platform, enabling AI-powered solutions for detecting and investigating financial crime. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership across teams.

You will design and evolve platform capabilities, set production standards, and ensure security, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance while driving adoption and a scalable, responsible AI strategy across Nordea.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience designing, building and operating large-scale cloud-native platforms and production-grade applications in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and familiarity with other major cloud providers such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on software engineering experience with Python and Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform.
• Experience with AI and machine learning platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, AgentCore and modern enterprise data platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and manage stakeholder relationships across complex organisational environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve enterprise-grade AI platform capabilities supporting predictive, generative and agentic AI use cases.
• Drive technical leadership across engineering, architecture, data science and security teams to ensure successful platform adoption and operational excellence.
• Define engineering standards, production-readiness requirements, governance models and operational frameworks for AI solutions.
• Translate strategic AI ambitions into scalable platform capabilities, technical roadmaps and implementation guidance.
• Ensure platform resilience, security, cost efficiency and regulatory compliance through effective risk, incident and access management.
