Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to shape and scale an enterprise AI platform, enabling AI-powered financial crime detection and investigation. You will collaborate with the Data and Platform Team to advance data, ML and AI solutions across the bank.

The role emphasizes building scalable cloud-native capabilities, driving governance and security, and ensuring cost-efficient, compliant platform operations in a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven design, build and operation experience with large-scale cloud-native platforms and production-grade apps.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services; familiarity with Azure or GCP is a plus.
• Hands-on software engineering with Python and IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with AI/ML platforms like SageMaker, Bedrock, AgentCore and modern enterprise data platforms.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and manage stakeholders across complex organisations.

Our role is to improve how we detect and investigate financial crime through advanced data, machine learning and AI solutions, helping to keep our customers, Nordea and society safe.

Proven experience designing, building and operating large-scale cloud-native platforms and production-grade applications in enterprise environments. Strong experience with AWS cloud services and familiarity with other major cloud providers such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Hands‑on software engineering experience with Python and Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform. Experience with AI and machine learning platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, AgentCore and modern enterprise data platforms. Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and manage stakeholder relationships across complex organisational environments.
