Job summary

BMC Software, Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to deploy and customize agentic AI in customer environments, including on‑prem, cloud hyperscalers, or OpenShift. You will own features end‑to‑end, build integrations with customer systems, and support pilots with strong cross‑regional collaboration.

You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to turn product capabilities into practical, valuable solutions while traveling as needed to customer sites and ensuring successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8–13 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Python and software‑engineering fundamentals; LLM/RAG/agents/prompt engineering literacy.
• Containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD as level requires.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer comfort scales with level.
• Rapid prototyping and ownership; willingness to travel as needed.
• Multi‑engagement or multi‑team adoption of practices you led.
• Sets delivery standards for customer engineering, not only excels on one account.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and customize BMC’s agentic AI in customer environments (on‑prem, hyperscaler, or OpenShift).
• Take ownership of features and integrations end‑to‑end, even when requirements are evolving.
• Build integrations with customer systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Support proofs‑of‑concept and pilots end‑to‑end; resolve blockers; inform stakeholders.
• Travel to customer sites and work across regions/time zones as required.
• Coach and elevate engineering practices and define repeatable deployment patterns.
